Library: Mr. Robbins: [email protected]
David Robbins started the journey into teaching and learning at Houghton University. Where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. His first teaching assignment was in Baltimore City Public Schools, where he taught third & second; he eventually became the school’s Technology and Professional Development Specialist. David was appointed to the position of Technology Integration Analyst for Baltimore City Schools, where he worked directly with school administrators, teachers, and students to create technology integration plans and embed the use of technology into classroom practice in a meaningful way.
Following his time with Baltimore City Public Schools, David worked for several educational technology companies. During his time “out of the classroom,” he enjoyed working at Discovery Education, assisting school districts in implementing the Discovery Educations suite of digital learning tools. He enjoyed working with educational leaders across North America, from Alabama to Alberta and Maryland to British Columbia.
His next stop on his educational journey leads him to accept the position of Library Media Specialist at Edmondson Heights Elementary School in Baltimore County, where he has helped readers of all ages read, dream, discover, and explore their world using the resources found in the school library for the past 5 years. During this time, he has worked to complete his Master of Science in Educational Technology & Library Science from Towson University. He is looking forward to joining the Winfield Elementary School family and celebrating great readers, dreamers, and stories with all of its members.
Robert Bautista is a graduate of the Nyack College School of Music. He realized after his first year of teaching Music, he wanted a more academic role in his student's educational lives. Robert has 15 years' experience in NYC and 6 months experience in Baltimore. He has jumped into the Baltimore County Public School System cannonball style and as the effects of the big splash have begun to calm down, he is able to see clearer what makes the students and families of Winfield Elementary a reason to show up to work every day! Bautista is part of the amazing special area team and looks forward to using music and community to see his vision come to fruition. What is his vision being a new team member of BCPS you ask? "A fresh start to the finish line!"
