- Provides Social Emotional Learning and support to all students (and adults) throughout the building.
- Works in a close-knit team with the school counselor, school social worker and school psychologist.
- Helps to develop school-wide/individual positive behavioral interventions and strategies throughout the school building.
- Assists with coaching students through the utilization of these strategies.
- Responds to any student crisis that may occur in the building
- Assists students with problems solving and self-regulation strategies.

Nathan Carothers earned his Bachelor's in Psychology at Stevenson University in December 2016. He earned his Master's in Counseling at Messiah University with a 3.6 GPA in December 2023. While working to get his master's, he worked as a student support, an instructional assistant, an ABA assistant and a custodian.
