Bisker

Principal - Ms. Dana Bisker - [email protected]

Ms. Dana Bisker is an accomplished educational leader with a strong foundation in elementary education and a dedication to fostering academic excellence. She holds a degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Social Sciences from Frostburg State University. Ms. Bisker began her teaching career at Church Lane Elementary in Baltimore County, where she spent nine years as a general education teacher. During this time, she taught second grade for three years and third grade for six years, honing her skills and passion for student growth.

While teaching, Ms. Bisker earned her master’s degree in Human Resource Development with a focus on Educational Leadership. In her final year as a classroom teacher, she embraced the role of instructional coach at Powhatan Elementary, collaborating with teachers to enhance their instructional practices.

After a decade of teaching, Ms. Bisker was promoted to assistant principal at Baltimore Highlands Elementary, where she thrived in mentoring and supporting novice teachers, many of whom had fewer than five years of experience. Her leadership and dedication to teacher development made a significant impact on the school community.

Now in her fourth year as principal at Winfield Elementary, Ms. Bisker continues to be driven by her passion for supporting both students and staff. In addition to her experience within Title I schools, Ms. Bisker has also worked within the community schools model, which leverages federal funding to address broader community needs. This model includes wrap-around supports for both students and families, further enhancing her commitment to creating a nurturing, enriching, and inclusive learning environment. Throughout her 20-year career, primarily within Baltimore County, she has remained devoted to making a lasting, positive impact on the communities she serves.
