Principal - Ms. Dana Bisker - [email protected]
Dana Bisker graduated from Frostburg State University with a degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Social Sciences. After graduating from Frostburg, she began her teaching career in Baltimore County at Church Lane Elementary as a third-grade teacher. For nine years, she worked as an elementary general education teacher. During that time, she taught second grade for three years and third grade for six years. While teaching, she earned her master’s degree in Human Resource Development, focusing on Educational Leadership. Her final year as a classroom teacher afforded her to opportunity to be an instructional coach at Powhatan Elementary, working alongside teachers to coach them in developing their craft. After ten years of teaching, Dana was promoted to assistant principal at Baltimore Highlands Elementary, another school located in the southwest area of Baltimore County. During her time there, her passion was supporting and growing many novice teachers with many staff members with less than five years of experience. Currently, Dana is in her second year of principalship at Winfield Elementary. Her passion for her students and staff has kept her motivated continue her work in four Title I Baltimore County Public Schools for the last eighteen years.
Assistant Principal - Mrs. Shannon Berger - [email protected]
Shannon Berger graduated from Kutztown University with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. After graduating from Kutztown, she began her teaching career in Baltimore County at Hernwood Elementary as a first-grade teacher. During her time at Hernwood Elementary she worked as a classroom teacher, special educator and staff development teacher. While teaching, she earned her master’s degree in special education from Towson University. After earning her Master’s Degree in Special Education, Shannon served as the IEP Chair at Battle Grove Elementary. After that experience, she was hired as the Assistant Principal of Winfield Elementary. She has continued to proudly serve the Winfield Community for the past 7 years.
